iAffiliate
Three years running SEO and content operations across five iGaming properties at once: proof of consistency, prioritisation, and brand recovery in one of the most competitive organic verticals.
iAffiliate ran multiple iGaming affiliate web properties targeting tier-1 markets across casino, sports betting, and niche verticals. I joined as Growth Marketing Manager to drive organic visibility - covering content strategy, on-page SEO, technical auditing, competitive intelligence, and market research across all active properties.
Over three years I worked across five distinct sites, each with different audiences, keyword targets, and challenges. The scope ranged from high-volume content operations competing against the biggest names in iGaming to a nuanced brand recovery project on a domain with a complicated history.
Engagement Snapshot
- Company: iAffiliate
- Duration: Sep 2023 - Sep 2026
- Role: Growth Marketing Manager (contract consultant)
- Industry: iGaming Affiliate
- 5 web properties across iGaming niches
- ~50 pages created or updated per fortnight
- 20+ priority money pages on bi-weekly review
- 3 years of continuous engagement
Project 1: Tier-1 Casino Affiliate Platform
The Problem
We were competing for high-intent tier-1 keywords against established authorities - Casino Guru, Casino.org, RevPanda - with massive content teams and enormous budgets. The challenge wasn't just producing content; it was producing the right content, keeping it current, and finding edges in the SERP that bigger players were leaving on the table.
What I Did
- Built a content machine. Sustained a cadence of up to 50 pages created or updated every two weeks across all active markets - net-new content combined with systematic refreshes.
- Introduced tiered money-page governance. Proposed and implemented a framework that identified ~20 high-priority conversion pages per market and placed them on a mandatory bi-weekly review cycle. Ratings, bonuses, T&Cs, and CTAs stayed accurate and optimised at all times.
- Ran structured CTR experiments at scale. Tested emoji inclusion in meta titles across different markets, keyword positioning (first vs. middle vs. last word in title), and description copy variants - systematically rather than ad hoc.
- Ran competitive intelligence. Tracked ranking movements, content gaps, and structural changes across our main competitors to inform editorial priorities and surface underserved keywords.
- Turned content freshness into policy. Championed regular, meaningful updates to money pages as a ranking signal - and built it into the editorial workflow so it happened consistently, not just when someone remembered.
What I Learned
In a saturated vertical, volume without governance is waste. The biggest unlock wasn't producing more - it was building the systems that made sure what we already had stayed competitive. The money-page framework became one of the highest-ROI changes I introduced.
Project 2: Reviving a Domain With a Difficult Past
The Problem
An expired domain with residual iGaming authority was acquired and relaunched as a casino and sports betting affiliate. The catch: it had previously belonged to an operator with a poor reputation among players. We kept the domain and the brand - which meant we inherited not just the SEO history, but the negative sentiment that came with it.
What I Did
- Chose quality over velocity. Recommended a deliberately measured publishing pace. The domain was in Google's sandbox and needed to earn trust - flooding it with content would have sent the wrong signals at exactly the wrong moment.
- Built E-E-A-T from the ground up. Introduced expert author profiles and clear editorial standards to signal that this was a different operation under different ownership - not the same entity players had bad experiences with.
- Made technical quality non-negotiable. Ensured the site passed Core Web Vitals from launch - fast load times, clean architecture, smooth navigation. Technical excellence was part of the brand story: we're not them.
- Prioritised UX as a trust signal. Designed the information flow so users could find what they needed quickly - critical when you're trying to convert visitors who are already sceptical of the brand name.
- Built off-site trust in parallel. Developed a multi-channel programme: email list acquisition, influencer partnerships, social media presence, and a Trustpilot review strategy to establish a new public identity separate from the previous operator.
What I Learned
Brand recovery in iGaming is a long game, and trying to shortcut it with content volume is a mistake. The right move was patience, precision, and making every single signal - technical, editorial, and off-site - point in the same direction: this is something new.
Other Properties I Worked On
Blackjack & Live Blackjack
Content strategy and SEO for a niche authority site targeting high-intent blackjack and live dealer keywords across tier-1 markets.
Sports Bookmakers
Content operations for a sportsbook comparison and review platform across competitive sports betting verticals.
Bonus & Promotions Hub
Editorial strategy for a property targeting bonus-related search intent - one of the most contested keyword clusters in iGaming.
What This Engagement Demonstrates
- Content Strategy at Scale. Planning, prioritising, and executing 50+ page updates per fortnight across multiple markets without losing quality.
- SEO Systems Thinking. Building frameworks - like the money-page governance model - that create repeatable results rather than one-off wins.
- Data-Driven Optimisation. Structured meta testing across markets; measuring what moves the needle before rolling out broadly.
- Competitive Intelligence. Tracking tier-1 competitors systematically and translating that into editorial decisions.
- Brand & Reputation Strategy. Managing a complex recovery scenario where technical, editorial, and off-site signals had to work together.
- iGaming Vertical Expertise. Deep familiarity with casino, sports betting, live dealer, and bonus verticals - and how each one behaves in search.
